How to Find the North Coast Café in Lynton from the Cliff Railway
If you are coming up from Lynmouth:
Exit the top station, you will see Londis in front of you, turn left.
Walk along Lee Road, with the Valley of Rocks Hotel on your left, for approx. 1-2 minutes.
Just after the shop Ginger Nut, between Churchill House Outdoor Clothing, turn right into the top of Queen Street.
- Walk down to the bottom of this slope and it will open out into a semi-pedestrian area.
- The North Coast Café is on your right, look out for the blue tables and chairs outside.

How to Find the North Coast Café from the Valley of Rocks
If you are coming back from the Valley of Rocks via Longmead and Lee Road:
- Walk along Lee Road until you find the entrance to Lynton & Lynmouth top station entrance, opposite Londis
- Follow the instructions from the Cliff Railway to Queen Street.
If you are coming back from the Valley of Rocks via North Walk:
- Walk up the last section of North Walk, with St Mary’s Church on your left.
- Cross the road, carefully, with Churchill House Outdoor Clothing in front of you.
- Walk down Queen Street to the bottom of this slope and it will open out into a semi-pedestrian area.
- The North Coast Café is on your right, look out for the blue tables and chairs outside.

Cross Street Cark Park
The lower park of Cross Street Car Park is the closest to the North Coast Café.
There is a narrow passageway or 'cutting' that leads to the bottom of Queen Street from this car park. It follows the exterior of the café. Near the rear entrance of the Queen's Pub.
Bottom Meadow Car Park
This is the largest car park in Lynton, it is located near the Primary School, and has public toilet facilities.
Walk to the car park exit and turn left. The road splits, the upper road 'Church Hill' leads to the main part of Lynton and Lee Road.
The lower road leads to the bottom of Queen Street, passing St Vincent Guest House and the Lyn & Exmoor Museum. This is the more direct option and a little less steep.
