We’ll reopen as usual on Tuesday 1st September.

Music Playlists

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, our kitchen will be open until 8pm, serving our day menu and also hot soups and stews.

From 6pm, North Coast Café becomes an adults-only evening space. Everyone is very welcome during the day, with our evening service reserved for adults.

Our official closing time is 8pm, though we may stay open a little later for hot drinks, wine or cocktails when the evening has a nice flow.

Chicken Souvlaki Bagel

Greek-style marinated chicken, grilled at the café by Neal, with feta, cucumber, red onion, lettuce and mayo, all tucked into a bagel and finished with those lovely herby Greek-inspired flavours that make it feel like Summer.

The North Coast Six is sharing platter that brings together six of our sweet mini scones – Coffee & Walnut, Ginger, Apple Crumble, Orange & Lemon, Cherry & Almond and Spiced Fruit – all served with generous helpings of clotted cream, strawberry jam, lemon curd and North Devon honey.

It’s the ultimate way to sample the full range of our homemade scones, perfect for sharing with friends, family, or simply indulging yourself.

“Friendly service, great atmosphere, excellent coffee and the scones were delicious”

“This is the best coffee shop in Lynton”

“Lovely service and amazing scones.”

“Their freshly baked scones are an absolute must-try”

Handcrafted Spiced Fruit Scone with Clotted Cream & Strawberry Jam

If you like Neal’s handmade Fruit Loaf, then you just might like our new Spiced Fruit Scone! It’s warm, lightly spiced and delicious with cream and jam!

Check out our new range of handcrafted scones..

Three coffees. Freshly ground. Properly made.

Coffee is at the heart of North Coast Café.
We serve three freshly ground coffees, a smooth medium roast, a richer darker roast and a proper decaffeinated coffee, all roasted in Devon by Voyager Coffee.

Whether you’re after a Flat White, Cappuccino, Americano or something a little stronger, you can choose the coffee that suits you.

Vegan Scones in Lynton

Neal’s new vegan scones are freshly baked at North Coast Café and finished with a lightly crunchy Demerara topping. We serve them with a buttery vegan alternative and strawberry jam.

A proper North Coast Café scone, made and served without the dairy.

“Flat Whites and Espresso coffee. Can’t fault them!”

“Always get great coffee and service.”

“Flat Whites, up there with the best in the UK”

“Great little coffee shop, service is brilliant, food is delicious and beautiful interior.”

Handcrafted Ginger Scones & Lemon Curd

Take a break from the norm and indulge in this refreshing alternative to scones, cream and jam. These light and fluffy handmade ginger scones slathered with tangy lemon curd are absolutely delicious!

An exceptional Coffee Shop.

If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee in Lynton & Lynmouth, your search is over.

We proudly use coffee beans lovingly hand-roasted in Devon by Voyager Coffee.

Voyager have crafted the perfect roast. It’s not too dark, and gives good body and flavour without any bitterness. It makes for a smooth and truly satisfying cup of coffee.

Meet our new hot bagel ...

The Chicken & Ham Hog

Seasoned chicken, West Country ham, crispy potato rosti, melted cheddar and black pepper in an air-toasted bagel.

They’re outrageously good!

At the North Coast Cafe feel free to enjoy your scones the Cornish Way, the Devon way ... or Your way!

Whether you’re a fan of the Cornish style, spreading jam on your scone before the cream, or you prefer the Devon method, slathering your scone with cream first, then topping it with jam, we welcome all ways!

What matters to us is that you enjoy every bite of our warm and fluffy scones, paired with Neal’s handmade strawberry jam, and rich and cool clotted cream.

After all, enjoyment is the most delicious tradition of all!

A truly wonderful little cafe in a beautiful small coastal town. The atmosphere and service were excellent, friendly but definitely not overwhelming attention to customers. Lovely food and the sort of timescale for a small cafe with regards to service. Everything about this place is nice, from the welcome to the cheery goodbye. Price wise it was good value. Can be difficult to get a seat inside if busy but there is seating outside if the weather is kind. Like I say, it can get busy but that’s a good thing surly, no one wants to frequent a cafe that has no customers 😊 Would definitely go back and wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Cafe & Scone Heaven This cafe specialises in the most wonderful scones of many different flavours both sweet and savoury. In fact you can try a trio sample of both if you’re not sure what to have. In addition there are many other choices on the menu including some lovely light lunch bites. The coffee is superb & service from the owners exemplary. They have both created a really charming & tasteful ambience. An excellent cafe on all levels. Thank you Jason & Neal.

Fabulous little café A lovely independent little cafe snuggled intuition a picturesque street in Lynton. DEFINITELY worth a visit. The food is superb, all cooked fresh to order and served by a friendly and polite chap we think is also the owner. The café is small, but laid out well, so it's not a crowded feel, even when full. Tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless, a delight to visit. Whether just for a drink, or a delicious lunch, you won't be disappointed. Huge selection of scones and fillings too. Do try one - and return for another!

We had the best gluten free club sandwich and a chicken and bacon sandwich, which even came with GF pretzels! Fillings were delicious and generous and the gf bread was delicious, a refreshing change from anywhere else I’ve been.

Can’t wait to come back! I visited the other day with my Girlfriend. What a fantastic experience. To start, the coffee is incredible, being able to choose between different roasts is not something you see in an everyday café. The Latte Art was extremely impressive! The Menu was extremely inclusive and included amazing Graphics of the food. Clearly displaying its portion size aswell as being extremely accurate! I had the Ham & Chicken Hog, which must I say, was delightful. It was very filling, I couldn’t even finish it! The side of mini pretzels were a lovely little touch. The attentive customer service made the whole experience feel less like a customer, and more like a guest. It’s an independent Cozy Café which has incredible Decor all around to match the theme of the Coast! Will definitely be Visiting again, and hats off to the chef for the amazing Bagel!

The bagels are to die for! It is the best bagel I’ve ever tasted. The club sandwich was also amazing! Very friendly owners who were extremely on the ball. Presentation and taste must be really important to the owners because both were 10/10. I would really recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the area. Service was incredibly fast, we were told there would be a wait for food but it was out within about 5 minutes which is incredible! Best lunch I’ve had in a long time. Thank you very much There was a couple next to us who had a dog and the owners were straight out with a bowl of fresh water for their furry friend so it is definitely dog friendly!

We noticed that North Coast Cafe offers evening dining on select nights, so we decided to give it a go. We were particularly attracted because of the vegan and vegetarian options on the area, as Lynton is a little limited in this regard. I had a vegetarian bagel, this was a “Greek Garden” with Feta, Black Olives, Roasted Red Pepper, Salad, Oregano and Mayo. It was delicious, with a generous filling. My partner went for a vegan club sandwich. As the menu says, this is big! You get three slices of thick toast with Beetroot Falafels, Tomato, Vegan Cheddar, Red Onion, Cucumber, Lettuce, Tomato Relish and Vegan Mayo. It looked and tasted amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and we loved the decor of the cafe - it’s a relaxing and friendly space. We also enjoyed chatting to other customers. The welcoming nature of North Coast seems to attract an eclectic group of people and conversations just started up! We had a lovely evening and enjoyed it so much, we popped back for a vegan scone the next day! We will be back 👍🏻☺️
