Let's talk about bagels!
Hey there, fellow foodies! Today, I want to share with you my recent experience at the North Coast Cafe in Lynton, North Devon. If you’re a fan of bagels, then you’re in for a treat!
Firstly, let me introduce you to the dynamic duo behind the cafe – Jason and Neal. These two guys are passionate about food and it shows in every dish they serve. They source their ingredients as locally as possible, with many coming from around the South West. This means that not only are you getting delicious food, but you’re also supporting local businesses.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the bagels! The North Coast Cafe offers both white and wholemeal bagels, as well as gluten-free options. The bagels are lightly toasted and have the perfect chewy texture that you want in a good bagel.
When it comes to fillings, they offer classic options such as salmon and cream cheese, as well as more unique options like our Bagel Madame, and some firm favourites like cheese and chutney. But if you’re feeling extra hungry in the mornings, you can add a whopping big breakfast bagel to your order. Trust me, it’s worth it! Other excellent breakfast bagel options are the smoked salmon and scrambled egg or the mighty veggie breakfast bagel for those preferring a meat-free option.
For those who prefer a plant-based diet, there are lots of vegetarian options available. I highly recommend trying the beetroot falafel bagel – it’s a game-changer for vegans!
What I love about the North Coast Cafe is that they don’t skimp on the fillings. Each bagel is generously filled with fresh ingredients, making it a satisfying meal in itself. And if you’re feeling extra peckish, they also offer a delicious range of savoury snacks and delicious sweet treats.
But it’s not just the food that makes this cafe special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a fantastic playlist, and Jason and Neal are always happy to chat. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat and catch up with friends.
In conclusion, if you’re a bagel lover, then you need to check out the North Coast Cafe in Lynton. With its freshly-made and lightly-toasted bagels, generous fillings, and friendly atmosphere, this café is the perfect spot for a delicious meal.
