Let's talk about coffee ...
Hey, there coffee lovers! Are you ready to embark on a journey of flavour and fun? Let’s talk about coffee roasting and how to make a great cup of coffee that will have you feeling like a home barista in no time.
First up, let’s talk about Voyager Coffee. We only use Voyager Coffee at the North Coast Café. This Devon-based company is all about quality and sustainability, which is why we love them. They source their beans from all over the world, including Colombia, and roast them to perfection in small batches. Their Coast to Coast Blend, which is our cafés house blend, is a personal favourite of mine, with its smooth and rich flavour that’s perfect for any time of day.
Now it’s time to brew your coffee. There are a lot of different methods out there, and not everyone has a fancy Espresso Machine, so I’m going to focus on two of the most popular methods at home: the French press and the drip coffee maker.
For the French press, start by adding your ground coffee to the press. Then, pour hot water over the coffee and let it steep for about four minutes. Finally, press down the plunger and pour your coffee into your favourite mug.
For the drip coffee maker, start by adding your ground coffee to the filter. Then, add water to the reservoir and turn on the machine. In just a few minutes, you’ll have a fresh pot of coffee ready to go.
And there you have it, a delicious cup of coffee made right at home. But wait, there’s more! If you really want to take your coffee game to the next level, consider investing in a milk frother. This handy little gadget will allow you to make all sorts of fancy coffee drinks, like lattes and cappuccinos, right in your own kitchen.
So there you have it, folks. A quick and easy guide to coffee roasting and making a great cup of coffee. Whether you’re a seasoned barista or a coffee newbie, there’s always something new to learn and explore in the world of coffee.
So grab your favourite mug, brew up a fresh pot, and enjoy the delicious flavours of Voyager Coffee and beyond.
